Salvador Rivero Cortina - Chairman

Mr. Rivero has been involved in the development of various turn-key projects in mining, energy, fertilizer, oil and gas, and shipping sectors. He founded and directed Constructora y Perforadora Marina, S.A. de C.V., and Kaiser International, S.A. de C.V., Ultramar BanCorp. Inc., Ultramar Capital Plc. First Mercantile Bank Ltd. He serves is several Boards in the Project Development, Construction, Mining and Oil and Gas sectors.

Dieter Krapp - Vice Chairman

Dieter Krapp is an Executive Manager with more than 30 years of broad experience in leading international Energy Companies. During his career Dieter was part of the Global LNG Leadership team of a leading Oil major, has managed large infrastructure projects across the globe, operated large power assets and developed midstream and downstream businesses. It is this experience and understanding of various areas of the Energy Value Chain that Ultramar Energy will bring to any new assignment.

Rolf A. Wikborg. Director International Investments:

Mr. Rolf A. Wikborg was Managing Director of AMA Norway A/S and a director of AMA Capital Partners in New York, a maritime merchant banking group involved in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and financial engineering in the shipping, offshore and cruise sector. Extensive experience arranging operating, financial leases and arrangement of mergers and acquisitions. Prior to founding the AMA group in New York in 1987, Mr. Wikborg was a Managing Director at Fearnleys, Mexico, for two years after having worked in the Project Department of Fearnleys, an Oslo based ship-broker. Mr. Wikborg holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester, England. Mr. Wikborg is an officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy and is a citizen and resident of Norway.

Jorge Fernandez Treviño– General director

AMEXA (ASOCIACION MEXICANA DE EMPRESAS AMBIENTALES A.C.). Engineer, ITESM (1986), UT in Austin (MBD 1991). Consultant and Developer of energy and real estate projects in Mexico and Latin America. Developed BENLESA (SIMEPRODE Energy Biogas Plant), Biogas Plants (Mexico and Peru) . SEMARNAT, the National Association of Gas stations, the Special Commission on Climate Change at the Senate, TECNOPLOI at the National Polytechnic Institute. Director of Public Services in the cities of Monterrey, CDMX and Guadalajara Professor: Biofuels and energy (ITESM-Monterrey).

Philippe Steinemann – Chief Financial Officer

Philippe Steinemann Graduated as an economist at University of Neuchâtel/Switzerland (1982), he has a strong experienced as business consultant and manager in various industries. He also has been very active in corporate finance especially in merger and acquisition projects. His career starts in the swiss watch industry where he could be part of the creation of Swatch Group being assistant of HR director. He became director of mid-range industries (1985 to 1995 and 2000 to 2009) before turning independent business consultant with mandates in Switzerland, Germany and Singapore. His main expertise domains are corporate finance, business and finance strategies, business structure. He also has a strong experience in structuring information and communication systems.

Luis Alcides Rojas, Exploration Manager

35 years of experience in evaluation of E&P assets, integrating multidisciplinary teams covering exploration, development and production. integrated reservoir studies, production optimization, economic evaluation. Valuation of fields for bidding processes; Control and monitoring of projects. Field Development Plan design including well construction, repair and completion, workover strategies. Leader of secondary process design. In-depth knowledge of oil and gas fields in the different regions including Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia. Reservoir engineer specialisation in Reservoir.

José Gregorio Yibirin. Production Manager

37 years of experience expert in the analysis of well productivity, work proposals for high water cut-off wells, high gas production, candidates for low-cost Enhanced Oil Recovery strategies including batch and continuous steam stimulation. Successful development of production water management strategies that resulted in a double digit increase of hydrocarbon production. Extensive experience in the development of oil and gas fields exploitation strategies in the different regions including Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia. Reservoir engineer with specialisation in Reservoir analysis.

Adrian Chavira Cornejo - BSEE

ITESM (1994); MIA, COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY (1998), Financial Engineering, UDLA (2003), PMP required course work, UNAM (2013-2015). Investment Banking, Power, O&G Midstream Infrastructure experience in Latin America, USA and Europe at NY based Lehman Brothers and Washington DC based Lerota Capital. Developed and executed several M&A and Capital restructuring transactions. Participated in the de regulation process of the Brazilian energy sector. Responsible for O&G trade at PMI Comercio Internacional, Chief of staff for Mexico State Oil Company PEMEX Midstream area, in charge of large infrastructure projects for transportation, storage and distribution of fuels. Business Development Director for TransCanada and IENOVA (Sempra’s) for México´s Liquid Fuels initiatives. Member; American Chamber of Commerce, NYC (1996-2000). Counsel; NYMEX Oil&Gas desk.

Eivind Aarnes Nilsen - CLO

Mr. Nilsen has extensive corporate law competence and experience from leading corporate law firms in Norway. Nilsen also holds experience as General Counsel for Lithium Werks, a global company within production of Litium-ion batteries. In addition to his professional experience, Nilsen holds broad experience from his work with entrepreneurial activities and is one of the co-founders of Otovo AS - the leading solar rooftop installation company in Scandinavia. Nilsen is a member of the Norwegian bar associations law committee on energy and environmental law, where he facilitates the continuing education for Norwegian energy lawyers.
